Before March became the month that turned our lives upside down, it was a month full of medical innovation specifically in regards to HIV. In London, for the second time ever, a person was cured completely of HIV. The patient underwent a stem cell transplant from donors with an HIV-resistance gene and reduced intensity chemo-therapy drug regimen. Although the results were not guaranteed, at the patient's 30-month scan, he was officially declared HIV free. This is a huge medical accomplishment that paves the way for advancement and human body functions.
